This Dose dedicated to Mitch Lucker. RIP.

I’m sure everyone is aware of the tragic happenings that went down last night. For those unaware he was in a motorcycle accident last night. This morning while in the hospital in Orange County he was pronounced dead. The band posted on their FB page

There’s no easy way to say this. Mitch passed away earlier this morning from injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident. This is completely devastating to all of us and we offer our deepest condolences to his family. He will be forever in our hearts.

To try to move away from depressing things, check out this festival:

Look at that lineup!!! I could never ever imagine seeing that many bands in one place. If you are looking at a trip to Cali over Thanksgiving you might also want to look into California Metalfest. You can purchase your tickets at ticketfly.com.

Another insanely brutal tour: Dying Fetus “The Blood Of Power Tour”

With support from Cattle Decapitation, Malignancy and Cerebral Bore. It doesn’t get much more metal than that. Tour starts on the 24th of November and runs through December 23rd. Seeing Dying Fetus with their amazing support would be the best way to go mentally prepare for your relatives to come for the holidays.

So here is a show that already happened but it’s one all metalheads might want to put at the top of their concert to-do list: Metal Female Voices Fest. It took place on the 20th and 21st of October. Think about it: A metal festival with all the hottest and most talented females in metal performing in two days in one place. So this one takes place over in Belgium so if you ever decide to go on a trip to Europe you might want to coordinate it around this festival. Check out some awesome footage of it below!

So Bullet For My Valentine released a new track. Normally I’d be all sorts of excited about one of my favorite bands releasing a single but seeing as they’ve only been going downhill with every album so far I wasn’t that eager to hear it. Listen to their new single “Temper Temper” and you will understand why. I don’t normally bust up a track or album like I’m about to but listen to it and you will know why! It’s horrible! It’s like a mix of this new hard rock stuff and there’s not even screaming anymore! It is the same generic rock band riff that you can hear on any rock radio station track. Sure it’s still their same guitar tone but it is the same riff. And this is why I will only be listening to their first two albums for the rest of my life. Go ahead, listen to it. Cringe and die a little inside. I know I sure did.

Uhm so everyone who hasn’t heard the new Dethalbum can just stop everything they’re doing and go listen to it. Now. It’s everything brutal, and Dethklok. Check it out. Dethalbum III.
